Terms of Service
Writingbyraine terms of service are listed below. You can check my “Services” page for more information on what I write, the fandoms I’m familiar with, what content I will/won’t write on, and more!
By commissioning writingbyraine, you as the client agree to the following terms of service.
General
I retain all rights to the final product of the commissioned work.
Clients may share commissioned writings online (i.e. social media) with credit to the original creator, writingbyraine.
I also retain the right to post any commissioned work with the permission of the client after the completion of the writing.
If any client wishes to keep the commissioned writing private, they may request so but be aware of a possible fee.
I retain the right to refuse and/or end service for any client at any time. I also retain the right to reject any commission request with or without reason.
This may include, but is not limited to, rejection of work and/or refund to client based on rude or aggressive behavior.
Payments will be made through Venmo.
If other arrangements need to be made, reach out in advance. The client and writer must agree in writing before any planning begins.
All clients will receive a detailed list of their charges before drafting begins.
Payments will be expected as follows, but can be paid in full up front:
Half of total before drafting begins.
The rest of total payment before final product is sent.
Unless a promised commission cannot be finished, there will be no refunds.
All commissions will be completed on Ellipus. A link to view the work will be sent to the client after the first payment is completed.
The client may check in on the work and offer comments while in the process of drafting.
Raine will provide a final document with the completed product at the end of the process.
Final Product
Clients will receive an online copy of the final product and may produce their own physical copy for personal reasons only (i.e. not for sale).
Clients may ask for up to two major revisions to be made to the final product after payment has been sent.
One revision will be considered as one line of communication about any edits to be made.
These revisions may include multiple edits.
For example: The client sends an email back to Raine with a list of a few edits they’d like. This counts as one major revision.
